Just north of the city, Naklua is where Pattaya feels most like a Thai town again — markets, temples and seafood rather than neon. It blends into the upscale Wong Amat beach area.
The vibe. Quiet, residential and local, with excellent seafood around Lan Pho and a more grown-up pace.
Best for. Repeat visitors, couples and anyone who wants calm but can hop into the centre in 10–15 minutes.
Worth knowing. Wong Amat, at the north end, has some of Pattaya’s best resorts and a softer, more secluded beach.
